I eat a lot of walnuts, not as in a huge quantity but they are a definite staple in my diet. Standing in the rain waiting for a tram I cracked a couple of walnuts while ruminating on Adelaide's comment, and realised that I had never spent any time smelling a walnut. I was quite suprised to discover a distinctive mace / nutmeg scent, though it makes sense. Are they from the same family?
